Magda - Vocalist
Meet Magda - our vocalist, songwriter and full-time vocal coach.

Magda began her musical journey with piano and oboe before discovering her true voice in singing. With over 20 years of solo experience, she’s performed across the UK and Central Europe, lighting up stages with passion and energy.
As a teenager, she won several young voices competitions and draws inspiration from legendary vocalists like Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone. Magda holds a Master’s degree in Professional Voice Practice from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and is currently working on releasing her original music.
When she’s not performing with The Full House of Swing, Magda works full time coaching singers of all levels - sharing her experience and love for music to help others find their voice.
Friendly, professional, and full of heart, Magda brings warmth and soul to every performance.
James - Piano
Meet James - our keys player, arranger, and all-round musical brain.
James is the keys and piano player for The Full House of Swing, as well as the band’s resident music arranger.
A lifelong musician, James began studying classical piano as a child and now brings nearly 30 years of experience as a performer, arranger, studio musician, and musical director, just to name a few of his roles.
While jazz, Latin, and funk are now his main focus these days, James still holds a deep affection for the classical greats. His biggest inspirations include Chick Corea, Jacob Collier, and Claude Debussy - each influencing his unique and broad musical vocabulary.
As a full-time piano tutor, James spends his days immersed in music, sharing his passion and helping others develop their skills and find the same joy that music has brought to his life.
From arranging the band’s repertoire to filling out the harmonic textures, you’ll hear James’ signature touch throughout The Full House of Swing’s sound - so keep an ear out next time you listen!
Mike - Drums
Meet Mike - our rhythm maestro and all-round music maker.
With over 25 years of musical experience, Mike’s no stranger to a handful of instruments - from guitar and bass to drums and vocals. His favourites? Jazz, soul, funk-pop, and basically anything that gets the dancefloor moving.
Mike’s passion goes beyond playing - he’s a bit of a tech wizard too, always tinkering with his gear and diving into music production to keep things fresh and experimental.
From tiny, intimate venues to big festival stages like Aberystwyth’s Big Tribute Festival, Mike knows how to bring the beat. Fun fact: his playing has even been heard on BBC Radio 1!
Tim - Bass
Meet Tim - our double bass player with a love for rhythm and groove.
Tim’s musical journey started with classical piano, before picking up guitar and then discovering the rich, warm sound of the double bass - which he’s been playing since 2012.
Over the years, he’s performed with a variety of local bands, appeared on TV and radio, and played alongside a wide range of professional musicians. His favourite sounds? Anything with feel - but jazz, funk, Latin and blues tend to draw him in.
With experience as a theatre and PA sound technician, Tim knows what it takes to make live music sound just right. He reads music, plays by ear, and never says no to a good jam session.
His motto? Keep Music LIVE!
